Simple installation, gives a beautiful Matte luster to the screen

I purchased this for my 2020 13" MacBook Air.I read through a lot of the 1 Star reviews (as I always do) before purchasing. A lot of them complain that the screen isn't easy to put on or it has a weird sheen and I wanted to address both of those points in this review.Matte: A lot of the reviews I read complained about a "blurriness" to the screen after installing although I didn't see any pictures showing what people meant by that. My assumption is that people don't fully understand what a Matte screen looks like when buying this. I'm a gamer--I've built my own PC's, have owned a lot of consoles, etc--but I also went to school for photography and graphics and now work with cameras, monitors, LED video walls, projections screens, and so on. Comparing to the high gloss glass that was on my MacBook before using this screen protector I can see where people can confuse this for blurriness, but most of my monitors have Matte screens so I know that isn't the most accurate description. and this screen protector works exactly as they do.-Glass, while crisp to look through and gives you the most clarity because of its smooth surface, is highly reflective. Matte is textured and this texture is what diffuses light, creating the softness. This softness is what also gives you this screen protector's anti-glare feature. It is absolutely a preference. I find matte much easier on my eyes, but again it's a preference of what feels good on your eyes.Ease of installation:-I found this incredibly easy to apply. In the box was the three screens, a paper with a QR code and a business card size "squeegee" which is a stiff piece of cardboard or something and a cleaning cloth. If you have never put a screen on something before I recommend looking up a youtube video or two and seeing how they apply them, but I'll do my best to step by step explain how I applied mine, perfectly, on essentially the first try.-First and foremost: I recommend applying screens in a room where there is little air flow--making sure all fans are off. I was in my office, alone, with my fan off. You want as little chance of dust particles coming into play as possible.-Clean your screen: You want to remove all signs of dust, oils, etc. from your screen so if you have finger prints or anything that needs to be removed I would recommend a liquid screen cleaner or a screen cleaning wipe. The cloth they sent with it WILL work, but I personally use them last just to be sure the screen is clear of dust particles and anything left over from the cleaner. Admittedly, I was replacing a crappier screen protector so in this instance, all I used was the cloth.-Application: The protectors have a sticker with a sheet of plastic covering both sides. You remove the side with the 1 first--do your best to NOT touch this side once the sticker off.--When I applied this I started with how I understood the instructions to read (starting from one of the short sides where the sticker was and peeling as I went) I quickly abandoned that method and went with what I do for others. I pulled the entire sheet off, the started at the top of my computer screen, making sure it was lined up fairly evenly and properly with my camera. Once I was happy with the alignment, I let the protector take purchase on the screen. From there it's fairly fluid and quick, just using your hands to be sure the sides are staying even and landing where you want them.---My first placement was close, but as I got to the bottom I realized it was a little off, so I gently pulled the protector away from the screen and realigned. When I got to the bottom of the screen again it was exactly where I wanted it.-Removing the air pockets: Grab that squeegee that's not quite a squeegee. I start by running it horizontally across the top of my screen once, making sure where I started is secure. Then I ran the squeegee vertically, starting at the *center* of the screen. This works the air pockets down AND out at the same time. Then I pick a direction and go with it (ex: starting at the center, still vertically, I work my way right all the way to the edge of the screen. Then I return to the center of the screen and work my way left.) At this point there were still a few stubborn air pockets left. Patience a *slight* amount of pressure is key. There is no reason to press so hard you crack the screen. Keep in mind, it may take you a few minutes to work these stubborn air pockets to their closest edge.-Remove the top (2) sticker from the screen protector: once all of your bubbles are gone, start slowly removing the top layer. I realized as I started removing mine, I had grossly missed squeegeeing beneath the sticker, so I placed the top layer back down, squeegeed it, then slowly started peeling. Once its started and isn't pulling the screen protector away from the screen (something I've had past screen protectors do, but this one did NOT) feel free to pull it away as quickly as you feel confident doing.-Enjoy!: You now have a bubble free Matte screen protector on!

MacBook Screen Protector: Like a Stealthy Ninja for Your Laptop!

Listen up, fellow MacBook aficionados and accidental coffee spillers – I've discovered a secret weapon in the battle against fingerprints and glare: Supershieldz Matte Screen Protectors!Picture this: my MacBook Air, sleek and shiny, was suffering from a serious case of fingerprint overload. Every touch left a mark, and don't get me started on trying to see the screen outdoors – it was like staring into the sun (minus the tan).Enter Supershieldz. These screen protectors are more than just a matte finish; they're like a cloak of invisibility for smudges. Now, my screen stays pristine, no matter how many times I tap away on that keyboard (and trust me, I'm a keyboard warrior).Installation? Easier than ordering pizza. Seriously, even I managed to apply it without any air bubbles (a rare achievement in my DIY endeavors). And let's talk about glare – or rather, the lack of it. I can now work outside without squinting like a confused mole emerging from its burrow. The matte finish diffuses light beautifully, giving me the clarity I need to conquer spreadsheets and binge-watch cat videos with equal fervor.Durability? Check. Clarity? Double check. These screen protectors are so clear, I've mistaken them for my actual MacBook screen (true story). In conclusion, if you want to protect your MacBook screen from fingerprints, glare, and accidental mishaps (like that time I spilled salsa – don't ask), Supershieldz is your new best friend. It's like insurance for your laptop's eyes – and we all know how important eye health is.**Pros:**- Matte finish that repels fingerprints like a boss- Anti-glare technology for screen clarity in any lighting- Easy installation – even for the tech-challenged (like me)**Cons:**- Um, can't think of any. Maybe they don't come with a mini butler to clean the rest of my laptop?Overall rating: ★★★★★ – Five stars for keeping my MacBook screen spotless and glare-free!**Would I recommend it?** Absolutely! Buy these screen protectors now and give your MacBook the ninja-like protection it deserves. Your eyes (and your laptop) will thank you!

Quality product!

Great quality item. Easy-ish to install. The challenge is just the size of the screen protector for a laptop. It is much easier to install screen protector for a mobile phone.

Great Matte Finish, But Very Probe to Bubbling. Overall Decent For the Price.

This is a bit difficult to install without it bubbling up, but I was able to install it with relatively no bubbles. It’s important to follow the directions to minimize bubbling. Personally, I first wiped my screen with some isopropyl alcohol to remove oily fingerprints and dried it with a lint free cloth. I then used the included microfiber cloth to remove any streaks. The screen protector is best applied by peeling back the 1st film just a little and lining it up with the top-left corner and with the card provided, slowly smooth it down and pull the film back as you go. If any bubbles appear just lift the screen protector up to remove the bubble and gently smooth it back down. Take your time to apply this and you will achieve the best result. I would say overall that it’s not the best product as it seems like it’s overly prone to bubbling and it seems like this may be because the adhesive is not as strong. I’ve noticed the best screen protectors’ adhesive are quite sticky to the touch. However I think it’s good for the price.I really do like the matte finish of the screen protector. As you can see, the light from above is shining directly on the screen and it is significantly dimmer than how it appears without it. The matte finish doesn’t affect the screen quality either.
