An upgrade, if they last.
These work well with the Makita BML185, 18V LXT worklight. Much brighter than the original krypton bulbs. They have a bright center with a dim halo, opposite the original krypton bright halo and dark hole. About a 6" bright spot at 6'. The beam casts bright for at least 60', much deeper than the original, much more like a focused Maglight or similar. It throws no noticeable heat. If they last, they are certainly an upgrade, at a price similar to quality original incandescent bulbs.

Fits a T-16 socket but runs hot
Used these bulbs to replace a 6 VDC T-16 incandescent bulb in an emergency light fixture. Figured this bulb would allow them the run longer than old bulb. Took a while to be delivered (from China) but is worth the wait. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the LED bulbs fit perfectly into the T-16 socket. I ran the emergency light for 3 hours and it still looked perfect. I had to remove the plastic cover because the new bulbs were too long hit the cover. But it's in my basement so weather is not an issue. One thing I noticed was the LED bulbs were too hot to touch after about 5 minutes. Wondering about the efficiency of these bulbs. Took off 1 star for this.

Fits just right and 3x brighter
The correct bulb replacement! Had old style bulb and thought it was pretty bright. Then my led bulb arrived the next day. It is 3 times brighter than the bulb I replaced 6 years ago. Wow!! Great results!! I’m happy, happy!! Thank you Amazon!

Just so so
Not really any brighter than the standard bulb. But because it's a whiter light at 6000K, it 'appears' to be brighter.Beam concentration is slightly better than the standard bulb. Don't buy if you're looking for a brighter light.

Pretty universal application for multi-cell flashlights and lanterns
These bulbs fit the bill for me in two cases - they are not polarity sensitive, so they worked in my 6V lantern with a negative tip, and they will handle up to 24 volts, so they worked in my MagLite flashlight with six D-cell batteries (and a positive tip) producing 9 volts. The light is bright white and fairly bright, more than the stock bulb. The MagLite focused to a smooth round pattern with no dark spot in the center. The lantern not so much, but it isn't focusable. The light pattern in the lantern was still acceptable. These bulbs are a lot more expensive than most other bulbs, about twice the cost, but they have a very wide range of applications in voltage anywhere from 6 volts to 24 volts, and can be used in any flashlight regardless of the polarity of the tip of the bulb. That is the only reason I paid as much for them as I did, because they can be used in any flashlight or lantern as long as it's at least 6 volts (6V lantern battery or four flashlight batteries in series.)I believe these will NOT work in a standard flashlight using two D-cell or C-cell batteries, as those produce only 3 volts, and these bulbs apparently need a minimum of 6 volts to function. For my use though, they worked great! Hopefully at this price, they last a long time!
