Work Great!
Perfect Fit, Nice and Smooth operation now. Old one made a constant drip leak when water was turned off and had some resistance when turning off and on water. Very pleased with this item. As soon as you take of the water handle you can compare to see if you got the right one for your pipe. This item did look slightly different from the one that I removed, but it fit nicely.Don’t forgot to turn off main water to home before you disassemble. Very easy to swap this item out (YouTube).

Good replacement but stem didn't match most handles
Couldn't find a handle to fit. Stem diameter was too large. Eventually bought a Delta plastic handle and enlarged the hole with a rotary grinder.

Good part
Fit my grandmother's old shower perfectly. Researched online and found the Pat. No. 3674048 that was on the surrounding cover should have this cartridge. This part was a bit lighter (I'm sure more plastic) than the original, but it went right in and no more leak!

Perfect fit. Be careful of fragile tubes on back of housing.
Works perfect for old Delta no scald tub faucets. A very small hammer and small chisel has proved to be effective in removing stuck on collar twice now for me. Save yourself the heartache of breaking one of the three tiny copper tubes on the back.

Not for older models
It didn't work with our 20+year old faucet. Bought a universal cartridge at the hardware store

Sucks by OEM part
Worked great for 3 weeks. Now I have the same issue. Leaks water because the valve doesn't close all the way.

Perfect fit and no experience required for installation
I have a shower that not only leaked, but would only trickle cold water when on. After seeing a segment on Ask This Old House, I thought I would try this before calling a plumber. My shower faucet is about 40 years old. I thought I would take a chance on this one. After reviewing a YouTube video, I shut off the water and went to work. I have ZERO plumbing experience, and in less then 15 minutes, I had a working shower with hot water and no leaks. Fit perfectly, and easy to install.
