Excellent quality and great for teaching

Good quality. Big images. My kid even spilled water on it. It didnot effect the quality.

My 5-yr old grandson loves this. As noted in other reviews, the pieces do not interlock; rather, continents are intact. As an educator I feel this is a positive feature. Children learn the continents by shape in addition to spatial placement. Context is also provided: animals of different regions featured. Some cardboard pieces were slightly warped from being enclosed in box. This was not an obstacle to making the puzzle. However, I did put a heavy weight (cast iron frying pan) on the two or three pieces most affected.

The colors on this map are bold and bright and the animals placed near their home countries are realistic and provide even more learning outside the geography of the world. The pieces are sturdy and the printed portion does not seem like it will peel off with normal classroom or home use. As stated by other reviewers, many interior pieces have curves rather than the traditional interlocking style but my preschool grandson was not frustrated and quickly learned the more pieces he placed correctly, the tighter everything fit. The map is not to scale, but if South America and Africa had been placed as far apart as they really are, this puzzle would have been far too big and with lots of empty ocean between them. For the target age group, the distance accuracy is probably not necessary.

The puzzle is okay - not that many pieces so really easy for younger kiddos. Ours was missing the full picture map though which made it tricky to put together

Love this map and so does my autistic son. Teaches him with color and he interacts well
