Edit:Seems like it is hit and miss with the sellers since there is so many. Please let people know what seller you bought from and what the quality was.I bought from "Blue Monster LLC" and it was awful.Also bought from "TheDiscountMarket" and it was garbage.Original review:This is nothing like the picture or the other quality of Gustafs i have bought previously. I enjoy their rainbow bags but their lack of grape is disappointing and left me to purchase this. Boy i don't know what they sent me but is is nothing like the others.As other here have posted, I too received a bag of grey slimy sticky laces.They were brittle and mushy when handled and makes me think they were left to soak in something and got soggy.They tasted like absolutely nothing and had a waxy consistency. The had a very strong artificial grape aroma which seems like they were just sprayed with. i could actually smell them through the Amazon box when it arrived on my door step.Even though this item is nonreturnable, Amazon is nice enough to offer a full refund for this disaster. I will never order these again as i don't care to gamble on two pounds of grape licorice any more.

When I was young I loved shoe string licorice. As an adult living in the south most people don’t have a clue what I was talking about. I found this grape string licorice and had to try it. It was as good as I remembered and the price was fantastic. I will be ordering again.

I was a very satisfied customer of Gustaf's grape licorice Laces. Unfortunately, that has now changed. Right when I opened the package, I noticed what used to be dark purple was now light lavender! Yet, I was still optimistic for cutting it open only to have that wonderful overwhelming aroma of that Gustaf's Sour Grape Licorice scent that I had come to love. So, when I opened it, it did actually hit me, so I started thinking oh ya it's still the same, just a different color. However, when I actually tasted it, I couldn't help but remember when I first tasted Fruit Strip Gum as a child. It was delicious for about three seconds ,then the flavor had disappeared completely , before I was even in the middle of chewing! I was so disappointed, and luckily to save me, there was a trash can nearby. I will not give up on Gustaf's Laces, however, the only positive about the grape option is that it is now biodegradable.Sincerely,Cassondra
