I work from home, this means sitting on my chair for 8 to 12 hours a day. I love my chair that I have been using for the last 6 years, Its leather is still in good shape but recently the cylinder and the tilting control broke. I considered buying a new chair as I never thought I can buy these parts, I tried many chairs at the local stores and none of them was as comfortable as my 6 years old chair, it wasn't easy for me to find a chair that can hold a big guy like me 6.2/245 for this much hours every day. Fortunately, I came across this product and the cylinder on Amazon so I decided to give it a try by replacing the broken ones in my chair. I'm so happy that I did and I'm still enjoying sitting on my comfy chair. The only reason I gave it 4 stars not 5 is that every now and then I hear a loud click when I tilt the chair back, other than that life is good.

None of these are easy to install so im not sure why thats a rating choice. Anyways it works and might hold up to casual use but I put it on a chair that is used 7 days a week and less than 4 months in I am getting some wobble. It wont be long it will have to be replaced. I might try another one and see. Update.... At 6 months I am having to place an order for another one. Not sure about it being heavy duty as it says. Looks no different form and that have come on chairs I have bought. I would imagine most of them are made in the same place.

I was in the process of ordering a new chair when I found this part. I'm 270, 6'0 tall so finding a sturdy chair is very important to me. I went with this because it says it's rated for 500lbs and the price was on point to be able to try it out without any major downsides. My old chair feels brand new again and I couldn't be happier! The new part was double the weight of the old one so it really feels like more of an upgrade rather than just a repair.

What a great item to refresh an office chair that was on its way to the trash pile. I found this and other items on Amazon to save this otherwise very comfortable chair for large persons. It took about 10 Minutes to replace this item and you will be as satisfied with the results as I was. A+ Would by one again from this supplier.

Replaced on an old comfortable chair I love. Material not as thick as original, but the price is right. Expect to replace it again in a few years. Already starting to wobble a bit.

totally fixed my von-racer big & tall gaming chair - (which was only 4 months old) very easy to see and compare the build quality of the oem part and this much sturdier tilt mechanism - Very happy.

This is just as heavy duty as the one on my Big & Tall chair shipped with originally. Maybe better...

Product arrived quickly and was easy to install in place of the old damaged (weld broke) tilt mechanism. In my case, two holes had to be drilled into a different location (~2 inches further down to accommodate the footprint of this mechanism) This tilt mechanism seems to be stronger than the original, and it doesn't have any welds to break.Very satisfied with this product.
