So I read a lot of reviews on this product, and the comments was mixture of love and hate. I love this shower stool! First I'm a plus size woman and its very sturdy. Also the bad comments was about molding. It does get pretty humid in my area and the shower I use it holds a lot moisture. So I opted to just use a little clear fingernail polish over the screws just in case of an issue. It works trust me I've had zero problems and I've had this for a few months before this writing review.😊

Very cute seat for my shower. I like the wood, it's made well. Took 30 mins to put together. It's replacing a moldy mildew plastic & metal one. You need an adjustable wrench and a flat head screwdriver to put together. I'm happy with it.

Barely have had this bench / table a few weeks. It is moldy already. It is supposed to be water safe, shower, garden, patio.. so I suggest you do not put this in a wet environment

Note I am not using this for its original intended functions, instead I wanted a small water-proof/tolerant shelf to hold a UPS up off the floor of my basement in an area that could wind up under water if the basement were to flood due to heavy rains, or failure of my sump pump or because a water line might break (which has happened previously). This item is perfect for this alternate usage as it is water resistant and offers a nice amount of extra height below the UPS that is now sitting on top of it. It is nice, stable, sturdy, and perfectly sized in terms of the amount of surface space it provides. Also fairly nice on the affordability scale. Just nothing not to like for me, except, uh, a little bit of splintery surface on the edges of the top portion (the bench top). If not for that, it would be perfect in my book.In reality, getting one of these without some minor splinters may not be that easy. Just the nature of bamboo wood. (I've gotten very familiar with bamboo wood as I had a large growth of it in my backyard that I'm continuing to eradicate on a more permanent basis.). In board form it still tends to be a bit fibrous/splintery, no matter how much you might work on sanding and smoothing it out.

Not sure why so many are complaining that they can't fit things on it, as it is a "stool" not a "bench." If you want your butt to fit along with products beside your butt, order a shower bench instead. This is advertised as a stool and that is exactly what it is. If you need to stash products, put them on the bottom shelf that it comes with. Was very easy and quick to assemble. I ordered it because I just recovered from knee surgery, and about to go through another knee surgery. I also have a broken foot so this little stool has been a life saver for me. Now, in Texas a majority of folks have incredibly hard water. Some of the hardest you'll find on the entire North American continent. Having hard water does tend to settle into the grooves of this stool, so I highly suggest getting some kind of nontoxic clear coat spray and spray it or varnish it after every 10 showers or so. Mine hasn't gotten moldy yet, but with the coating quickly disappearing from mine due to my excessively hard water, that leaves the opportunity for mold to become possible. For now, I just have been thoroughly drying mine out in the open air after each use. The stool is great for the price. There are more aesthetically pleasing stools but they are pricey, so I was really glad to find this one. The quality is there, and the feet are nice and grippy in my shower with no issues of slipping or sliding.
