Amazing product. I spent just 10 minutes to straighten my very thick hair.

I have very thick Afro hair, a couple of strokes made it very manageable. Heats up in a couple of minutes, cools down fully for storage in 30 mins.

My daughter has got long, thick, curly 4a/4b hair. Once her hair been blow dried, she uses it with very good straightening results. Would recommend and much better than straightening irons.

Would not reccomend. Not as good as expected. It's hard to get to roots and can make it look like you have a flat line, and not great for the ends either as it doesn't grip your hair so falls out unless you are holding it all tight. I found it took longer to do than using normal straighteners so all that extra heat can't be good, plus it says don't use any products eitherThe on/off switch is not safe either as all it takes is a slight tap (not holding for few seconds) to come on, also like some others have said, the company keeps sending me emails to change my review to make it look better.

Product was beyond expectation. I used it on my hair and my girls’ hair. It was a relief to be able to straighten out my children natural hair with the product.Easy to use and wonderful result. Had to order another one for my sister and her girls.

Great purchase I got the purple comb for my partner for him to use on his beard and he loves it works well and he gets the outcome he wants the lead is long enough for him to reach our mirror from the plug socket bonus that it’s purple as it’s his favourite colour, my partner is a driver and his constantly looking side to side and his beard is sitting on the seat belt and collar so usually gets a curve to his beard but with this it’s stayed straight it gives him the salon/barber finish without the trip and price of them

My hair is exactly the same as Hagrid’s. It’s massive. Ridiculously thick, wavy/curls and insanely long. This took my hair from giant to smooth and silky in 1/3 of the time tongs would use. It also costs 5x less than my straighteners.

Tried using this to make my beard less frizzy/tickly/pubic. It works well on the longer section (my beard is perhaps 4" from my chin), and the relatively deep teeth mean it can penetrate the full thickness of my beard, although it requires supporting the beard to do so since the rounded teeth don't push through as easily as a conventional comb (even with a previously-combed beard). The deep heated sections give support and an extended heat to the hair on the way through. On shorter hair (my short sideburns or moustache, which are still frizzy) the ~1cm inset from the edge of the teeth to the hot plates mean it has no effect. I have a Phil Smith paddle straightener, which is the reverse - it pushes through short hair relatively easily and its hot plates make contact with shorter hair, but they don't push through the thickness of my beard and don't straighten as well. At least they're both ~£20, so needing both isn't the end of the world. Unlike the paddle straightener, this comb has heat controls, which were easy to use. The tooth guards seem effective, in that I haven't burnt myself yet (the reason I'm not going near a flat plate straightener), although the longer contact with the hair means the heat radiating off the beard is more substantial than with my other straightener. It's not particularly small or portable (I've yet to try the battery-powered straighteners for travel), and purple isn't really my colour, but looking butch while trying to stop my beard scratching wasn't a priority, so that's okay. A perfect product would handle short hairs a bit better and be a little smaller for travel, but generally recommended - although since it makes my beard look 2" longer I now need to get it cut.
