Very effective product

First one I got had a crack in it at bottom concealed by the product details sticker. Came to know of it after using so returned the product, which I find is not a complicated exercise on Amazon, and re-ordered the product.It is good product to have and only thing which I realised later on is that re-filling has to be done by replacing the refill pack and not by just pouring granules in the place meant for it in the box due to its design unlike other one I ordered (CZ-IT Refillable Moisture Absorber, Green, 300 g) which can have granules poured in it so can buy refill granules in large packs so not tied to refill pack.However, to take out water collected at bottom one needs to remove refill pack (have not tried it in CZ-IT yet) unlike Store2508 Portable Mini Dehumidifier Moisture Absorber, 1 Litre Capacity which is costlier but has removable base. But even in this one found its bottom moist, dont know because of some crack in it or for other reason.So on receiving such products check for all items supposed to be in the box and also for any cracks which may be hidden for instance under some product details sticker.

Rainy season solutions from mould and dampness

So when I bought my new dslr. I knew very less about fungus and how it effects our camera. So my camera and lens ended up getting fungus. And I hade to spend a lot of money and man-hours to get rid of them. The Camera-Pros adviced me to buy a camera dry cabinet which costs around 5-7k min. Then I found this absorbers. And believe me this works more than fine. I keep my camera with my cloths and shoes in a wodden almira with 1 absorbent pack. And it keeps all my stuffs moister-free and fresh. This is my 2nd time purchasing this. Its worth every penny..

I had read many reviews where users had complained about the Absorbia Reusable Box being broken or having water leakage. This product was delivered to my home by ATS and was well packed and I received the Absorbia Reusable Box in a good condition - not broken on any side and even the top cover was in good shape. This product comes along with a 400 gms Pastic Packet which contains a small pouch and this Plastic Packet needs to be cut open and the pouch of crystals contained within needs to be placed in the upper portion of the Absorbia Reusable BoxMost reviews on this site are related to the Absorbia Reusable Box being used in an enclosed cupboard or closet. But, I brought this unit to be mainly used in my bedroom of 130 sq feet (not an enclosed room in the daytime as the windows are kept open) and have placed the unit on top of my cupboard in my bedroom. Have been using this product for the past 3 days and I can see that it has started absorbing moisture from the air in my room (humid Mumbai city) and some water has collected in the bottom portion of the Absorbia Reusable Box.But, I would regret to add that the humidity levels had only gone down by a mere 1% (at max) in my bedroom and this may be because the windows in my bedroom are kept open in the daytime and only closed at night during which I switch on the Samsung Window AC. I have noticed that when the AC is switched ON at night - the humidity level drops within 15 mins by 35% or more during the night. Now, I am in no way comparing the AC to the Absorbia Product - but, so far I have not got the results which I wanted to see by using the Absorbia Reusable Box -- the only reason probably being my using the product in my bedroom (windows open). This results to my believing that this product is primarily meant for use only in cupboards / closets / closed small roomsI do not wish to give up my hope as yet - hence, I have ordered another Absorbia Reusable Box and will now be placing both the boxes in my bedroom and hope that the humditiy level drops by a decent 15% or more. Review will be updated to inform users about the effect of placing 2 boxes in a 130 sq ft bedroom (windows open in daytime)

Have been using this for many years. Removes the musty smell from cupboards.

The gel absorbs moisture and turns into a liquid. But no one tells you that the liquid that looks like water is actually quite oily. I don’t know what the chemistry is.But when we tried to clean our floor, it took many rounds of soap and our hands burnt too! The box is flimsy and once the liquid is 3/4 of the way, it is poorly balanced. It spills easily and is very difficult to clean.

this is a good product. keep moisture and smell away. Very pricey though.
