Tacima 6 Way Enhanced Audio Visual Surge Protector

I have bought 2 of these and so far,so good

Does what it says, protects equipment from power surges. Slim profile means it fits behind my stereo. You'll already know there are no switches (individual or master) but it's not a feature I'd want. Good product so ordered a second.

I have a couple of Tacima 6 way conditioners that are great for extracting best performance for your AV equipment but this was for a bedroom in stall so the £30 seemed a bit extreme. Despite the value price this is a well build 6 way, yes you could buy cheaper but this is a quality manufacture delivering a well made product. My only complaint is there's no white option for this model, couldn't demote a star for that.

This is an inexpensive, very well built extension, the best value on the market I believe. Tacima is a name to trust. Does what says on the box.

I bought this for my kids' AV system (HDTV / games consoles etc) and it works just fine. Nice slim design, with screw mounting holes on the back. The cable is 2m in length, which isn't mentioned in the product description on Amazon so you might find this helpful. Also, the surge protection appears to be 'once only', because the wording on the packaging says "in the unlikely event that the green light goes out it means that the special internal Thermal Fusing has performed its task and the surge protection is no longer operational. The unit must therefore be replaced". I'm not an electrician and have no idea if this is how they all work, or whether this is unusual. Perhaps that's why it was so cheap...!

I bought this item from Amazon because it was one of the very few that features individually switchable sockets (normally I would choose a Belkin extension with their connected equipment warranties). However, the 6 way surge protector that was delivered had an item code CS923N/BP, rather than CS923C/BP as stated in the product description. A bit of searching revealed that the more expensive  Tacima 6 Way Switched Surge Protector  also has the item code of CS923C/BP in the product description. I returned this item, explaining the problem to Amazon, and ordered the other, which proved to do what I wanted, i.e. had switches for each individual socket.Weeks later, the description has not been changed, so I have to rate it as one star. Apart from the lack of this feature, the item seemed fine and corresponded to the actual claims made on the packaging.
