Sooooo Happy
Having renovated house after house and moved a lot over the past 20 years , never ever seemed to unpack all my 70s 80s old records, but this time I did !!!!!! ... then realised grief, no player!!! as everything now was CD etc in the house of kids.Read the reviews on here and thought, well that's exactly what I wanted , something small nothing fancy, just to do what I want and that was to just play my collection from my teen years..The player was compact, reasonable price, and I like the built in speakers, ok pretty standard sound, but to be honest sounded no worse than my old tower in the 80s. I did not want to covert and down load them to mp3 , as to me the whole idea was to use the player as one did some time ago.ok ok a long time ago.have used this every day since I purchased it , and enjoyed reliving some music I had not heard in decades , and hiding the rest from my kids !!!

great!
I bought this as a student looking to buy a cheap record player to play modern vinyl records on. At first i was hesistant to buy it after reading the reviews of it skipping a lot on modern vinyl, however i decided to take a gamble and it was worth it - its is great and it is what you would expect from a cheap record player. It does make a slight noise as the records turns, however this is drowned out by the music. In order to stop the track skipping on some records, you can put a very small weight on the arm, which does the job and the records play fine. The sound quality is what you would expect from a cheap record player - it is still pretty good quality for the price. It also looks very good and is very compact, and delivery was quick.Would definitely recomend this for anyone looking for a cheap record player.

light and conpact, 33 records flow over sides so needs care
Simple to use, no frills, sound quality satisfactory. Need a steady hand to place needle on record, but good value for money

Small & Chic!
I bought this turntable as it looked good and was at a keen price. I was not disappointed when I opened the parcel. The packaging was good and the turntable was in perfect condition.I played my old 33 & 45rpm vinyl, and no problems with 4O year old records. No problems with the built-in speakers...loud enough! This machine looks really good....chic, small, smart enough too!Set it up within seconds. Lightweight too.I'm really surprised how good this product is. You can also plug in speakers at the back for louder sound (for a party etc).Great value for money.Elaine Collier

Bring back records
I have not stopped playing my records since my lovely new Steepletone retro stereo turntable record player arrived. I was really impressed with the product, the size is perfect I am able to just pop it away when finished, the sound is BRILLIANT from its built in speekers, and it plays all three size records that I have. I have shown my Sister the product and she has now brought the same one!!! anyone who has vinil should get one of these players it really is BRILIANT and the price was great to.

Great little record player
Lovely bit of kit. All I want to do is play my old vinyl and it works a treat. The fact it is small in size and has self contained speakers is a bonus. It does struggle with SOME BUT NOT ALL 'modern' vinyl, which is thinner. I think that this is because the turntable is small and so the overhanging vinyl bounces more. I may try the old 'penny on the head' trick and see if this works.Slight downside is that the turntable movement is a bit loud but this can't be heard whilst the music is playing.I have yet to try it with speakers or link it to a PC but, frankly, it already does everything I wanted it to do. Got mine on an Amazon Warehouse Deal and so about £12 cheaper than the current price, that said - I would be happy to pay full price for the nostalgia and pleasure provided already.

Here's the biggest dud I've bought off Amazon so far (almost)...
The media could not be loaded. Here's the biggest dud I've bought off Amazon so far, (after the truly naff Vax 'vacuum cleaner').This bad boy has literally been out of the box for ten minutes and you can see/hear in the video why it's going straight back in. The product seems to have some reasonable reviews but the 'you get what you pay for' maxim has come back to haunt me again with this piece of junk.If you can't be bothered to watch the video, here's the summary:- Looks naff - why is the word 'Retro' so often synonymous with 'cruddy'?- Sounds like murder, by which I mean both the uneven playing of the record and lame built in speakers (although, I didn't get as far as plugging it in via a phono lead to my amp, because...)- When you put the lid down, the record rubs up against the plastic casing. USELESS.If I wanted a pile of junk that was going to wreck my records I would have just kept the player I had. Thanks Steepletone - a waste of time, energy and money - just what I always wanted.By the by, but it was also a rare occurrence of an Amazon Prime order arriving 4 days late. So, grumpy as usual, but with good cause I think.

Simple and fun
I bought this turntable about 15 days ago, and I am really enjoying it. Its very simple to operate and it has built in amplifier and speakers. It means that you can listen privately or connect to a amplifier and enjoy your records collection. It has 3 speeds choice 33 1/3,45 and 78 . I have 33 1/3 and 45 speed record collection and they both play well.I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a budget but effective turntable, that is easy to clean and maintain.Cheers,Sachin
