I recently pre-ordered this book, and I was delighted when it arrived just in time for us to begin potty training my 2-year-old. Ms. Rachel has once again crafted an exceptional resource that is particularly helpful for parents navigating the challenges of potty training, especially with stubborn toddlers.The book is engaging and beautifully illustrated, which captures my child's attention effectively. One of his favorite parts is the catchy handwashing song included in the book—it not only makes the learning process more enjoyable but also reinforces good hygiene habits.Additionally, the pages of the book are made from sturdy board material with a glossy finish, making them easy to clean and resistant to wear and tear. This is especially beneficial when dealing with little hands that tend to get sticky!Overall, this book has been an invaluable tool in making the potty training process smoother and more fun for both of us. It provides clear explanations and encourages engagement, making it easier for me to discuss and navigate this important milestone with my toddler.

We saw Miss Rachel’s potty training video first and loved it, so we grabbed the book — and it’s been a helpful, fun addition as we’re about to commence potty training. Easy to follow and keeps things positive.

I bought this book to help my 3 year old with potty training. The main character “Bean” is relatable to my toddler & she loves him! The handwashing song we use every day. Extra potty training tips are on the last page. The book is sturdy & easy to wipe off. Ms Rachel’s potty training special on Youtube goes great with the book too! Highly recommend.

If your toddler loves Ms. Rachel, this book will be an instant hit. It follows the same engaging, interactive style that makes her videos so effective for young kids. The illustrations are bright, the language is simple, and the routine-based structure makes it a great tool for teaching bathroom independence.However, one thing I wish it included was wiping as a step in the potty process. My toddler, who is usually very receptive to books reinforcing daily routines, flat-out refused to acknowledge wiping as necessary simply because it wasn’t in the book. I had to supplement with reminders every time, which was frustrating.That said, the handwashing song in the book is fantastic. We use it every single time, and it has made handwashing much more fun and automatic in our house. If your little one responds well to music and repetition, this book will definitely help reinforce good bathroom habits. Just be ready to add in the wiping step yourself if your toddler takes Ms. Rachel as the final word on how things should be done.

All I can say is WOW!YES! Buy this book!It’s been difficult getting my toddler to be interested in potty training no matter that methods I’ve attempted. Being a mother of 3- my other two were easy to train, it didn’t take long after they got interested in wearing underwear - I skipped pull ups altogether! I’ve tried all the same methods and tricks that I’ve used in the past but nothing is working! After getting this book- my little girl has been so much more interested in the potty now- we read the book whenever I need to use the toilet and she sits next to me on her potty as I read. It’s placed right next to her tiny potty and she has a teddy bear she calls Bean to play with when we read and keep our fingers crossed she’s going to move further into the process of training now that we have this in our arsenal!High recommend! Ms Rachel never lets us down!

This was the game changer. I tried the 3 day method and I think of the potty training materials that I used to reinforce what I was telling him, us reading this book and a YouTube video where it is read aloud repeated numerous times really spoke to him. He was excited to read the book and then that excitement transferred to practicing. You will need a little potty though so he/she can emulate what happens in the book (the 3day method encourages avoiding little potties and using a toilet seat instead). If you want to try the 3-day method too I also recommend that book and combining some of the tips and suggestions there with Ms. Rachel’s book.
