THE Aeocky DEHUMIDIFIER - BETTER THAN THE REST ON ALL COUNTS THAT MATTER
The Dehumidifier arrived on time, was packaged well and worked well from the start. The unit also came with very gooddocumentation and installation instructions. It definitely is a lot quieter than others we have had and has done a goodjob of reducing the humidity level of our big basement from the mid seventies to the low fifties in relative short order.Key factors in making the choice to buy were:a. The new technology utilized in the overall design of the system makes it more efficient and least expensive to runthan its competitors.b. The company stands behind its products with a 3year compressor and 5year general warrantees.c. The company is committed to keeping its customers happy by providing whatever they need after thethe sale is made, and the hardware is delivered and being used.d. The design of the system makes it simple to setup, use, and maintain.

Powerful and quiet in a compact chassis. Best dehumdifier I've ever owned.
A great dehumidifier. Very quiet and powerful, this unit can bring my basement humidity to 45% with ease in a 3000 sq foot home. Hopefully the unit is reliable, I've owned countless other units, some larger, that were less effective and far nosier that all failed due to loss of refrigerant in 2-3 years. I'm hopeful that this units advertised build quality will allow it to last much longer. So far after 2 months I'm very impressed. Very well designed and very effective. Hoping it runs like this for years.

So far it’s excellent
It’s early on. Time will tell. But so far this dehumidifier works really well. Bought it to replace an old GE model that was starting to become loud and not work so well.First of all the unit has a nice clean design, simple and effective controls and the build quality seems solid.Secondly, it really is quiet. This is way quieter than the old one it’s replacing, even when that one was new. For sure the most quiet one I’ve ever owned. I have a finished basement and sometimes I’d need to shut down my dehumidifier to watch movies, especially late at night. With this unit, it’s essentially about as loud as a normal fan, with a slight steady hum. You almost don’t know it’s a dehumidifier that’s running. Totally unobtrusive. It also isn’t putting out as much heat as the old one it’s replacing.I have it draining to my sump pump well with the provided hose and it’s pulling plenty of water. There’s no question the basement is more comfortable now. It’s definitely effective in the 1100sqft space.Again, time will tell on the longevity. To be fair, most store bought units are hit or miss anyway, and they aren’t made by the company whose name bagdge is on it. I was happy to get 4 years or so out of my old unit, and I’d be glad to get the same from this. I will say I wish it had a remote or some type of WiFi but to be fair that’s not really a huge deal and it’s not as though it claims to have one.Overall I’d recommend trying this one out. I was skeptical as I didn’t know the name but I’ve had some decent luck now with a lot of these Amazon brands. It’s a nice looking, quiet and effective unit.

Good Unit, but poor customer service
Love this dehumidifier, quiet, LED readings are easy to read, set up was easy. Would have given it a 5 but I had an issue at first with the tank filling up while in continuous drain mode.....I contacted customer service, TWICE. Received NO response. I googled the issue and fixed it myself. One of the reasons I bought this unit was because it boasted great customer service. I hate to think if my issue would not have resolved the hassle I would have had trying to work with their customer service.

You can stop comparison shopping. This is the model you want.
I bought the AEOCKY 52 Pint per day Smart Compressor Dehumidifier to replace a GE-branded workhorse that has been plugging along in my basement for years. In point of fact, I always run two dehumidifiers in my partially finished basement - one on the finished side and one on the unfinished / laundry room side. For the past 8-10 years, I've had GEs in both rooms. Prior to that, I had Frigidaires (twice, with each pair providing trouble-free service). The big name brands have served me well. They have all lasted 8-10 years and have required only intermittent filter cleaning to keep them humming along mostly problem-free. So, when one of my current GE models died, I can honestly say that I was reluctant to replace it with anything but a name-brand appliance. After all, the big names have been kind to me.But, after HOURS of comparative research, I decided to take a chance on this model from AEOCKY.I am more than impressed with the performance of this dehumidifier. Historically, with each of my name-brand models, I could not set the machine below 55% humidity. To do so was the equivalent of turning the devices onto continuous operation - they never shut off. But 55% was the sweet spot - across two brands and three different models, this fact held true - the humidity level dropped to tolerable and the appliances ran about 40% of the day.Enter the AEOCKY... When I first plugged it in, the humidity sensor reported that the finished side of my basement had a balmy 73% humidity level. Within minutes, that percentage began dropping. After it had fallen 10% in 20 minutes, I opened the collection bin to examine the moisture collection because I couldn't believe what the machine was reporting. But the bin was BONE DRY?!? Perhaps I was running into the problem that some of the other reviewers complained of - the less-than-accurate humidity sensor? But, a few hours later, the reported humidity level had settled into the mid 50s and the bin had a moderate amount of water (which I dumped). Overnight, the bin again collected a reasonable amount of water (though it did not collect enough to initiate an auto shut-off). i believe (though I cannot definitively recall) that I had set the humidity level to the standard 55% at this time. So, I decided to play with the settings a bit. I tried 50%. It got there. AND IT SHUT OFF. Not for long, but it shut off. I tried 45%. Same results. So, I tried the "automatic" setting (I believe it maintains a humidity between 45% - 55%). AMAZING! Zero need to mess with this thing. The room is obviously less humid and more comfortable.Once I got the AEOCKY dialed in, I connected the included drain line to circumvent the need to dump the bucket. Once i got the discharge angle of the tubing figured out, I used the included adapter to mate the provided hose to a PVC line that drains directly into my sump basin (requiring only a $2.17 investment from the local big-box hardware store). Done and done. The room feels better than it ever has. The humidity stays roughly between 48% - 53% on "auto."AND DID I MENTION HOW QUIET THIS THING IS?Nothing is as important as having the appliance WORK. But, now that I am confident that it works as advertised, I can appreciate how QUIETLY it does its job. The finished side of the basement is where laundry gets sorted and folded while music plays on the entertainment system. When my grandkids are over, this is the place where my grandson and I play video games (and talk a HEALTHY amount of trash over games of NCAA 25). The previous dehumidifier was disruptively loud. The AEOCKY is quieter with its compressor running than any of the fans from the previous models I had in this location, let alone their compressors.Color me impressed. Like, impressed enough to sit down and write this. I don't review a lot of items. And I KNOW that most people who take the time to review things had BAD experiences with their purchases. For me, this purchase experience has been so overwhelmingly positive that I felt the need to share. If you're on the fence about this model, don't be. It is a top performer. I have nothing bad to say about the GE or the Frigidaires that occupied my basement space before. But when my other GE kicks, I'm replacing it with another AEOCKY.
