My headbands barely fit between bars. But it works & will probably keep me organized

An organizer for organizing headbands is so far off of my radar (as a sloppy male) that when my wife handed this to me for the obligatory review, I had no clue what to expect. As I slid this thing out of the plastic bag, the first thing I noticed was the smell of wood. No paint, no plastic, no chemicals, nothing, but the earthy, genuine smell of - wood. Wow. I think the last time I smelled that was when I bought a box of popsicle sticks for a school project - during the Eisenhower administration. I don't know why - it just caught my attention. The cordage is all natural, like macramé. Just plain fibers. No plastics. Just...nice. Everything is finished well, tied tightly, and simply meshes into a product that feels natural, and right. The only parts of this product that do not occur naturally in nature, is the metal used in the clips. They are tiny, precise bits of engineering. When I first squeezed them to open, they stick a tiny bit. Only once. Probably an artifact of manufacturing. I don't really know what all my wife will be hanging on this, so I cannot judge the suitability of the clips. They open far enough they would work on the band or brim of a baseball cap, a scrunchy, a sweatband, etc., but I could see delicate lace or similar getting caught on the corners of the clips. Note that I did not observe this, or see any mis-finish, just make sure you check for your application. I like this item. I think you will too!

First, I got this item essentially free as part of Amazon’s vine program - search for more information.So I purchased this organizer not for bows and headbands but rather for hats. There are so many bow and headband organizers out on the market but nothing for us boy Mom’s that put little knit hats on our little ones.Anyway, this organizer is nicely constructed and each tier has plenty of clips to hold headbands, bows, or hats.I like that it is slim - perfect for on the side wall of my son’s closet once I get a hook installed. It does come with this plastic hook you can hammer into the wall, I’ll just be going with a properly installed coat/ hat hook just for stability.I did lay it out flat to put all of his hats on, but I’d imagine it should be stable enough to grab and hang hats once it’s on the wall. I will though say the clips stick at first, but once I punched them they loosened up a bit.If I were to critique anything it would be the clips. Beyond initially sticking when first used, they are sharp clips, so I’d be worried about easily snagging fabrics especially for the girl Mom’s out there, lace. But they are strong clips, so it will hold the stuff, and in my case to hopefully try to minimize on the snagging outside appearance of my son’s hats, I clipped two hats to each clip, and they hold quite well.Overall quite happy with this product.
