Pours well and filters last longer than the brand I was using. Glass is nice than plastic

Within only a few months of use, and without knowing how it happened, the pitcher cracked and started to leak. I am purchasing another one because we liked the quality of the water, but this is unfortunate.

Had this jug for circa a month so far. If there was a jug that was fully glass, I'd go for that but for now, this seems like the best. I was looking to minimise plastic in my filter jug, and as soon as I received this I knew it was the better option over the well known brand which has a plastic handle. Good quality feel instantly, and my opinion has not faltered. If one day the plastic bits (filter section and lid) degrade, you will still have a functional glass jug. It does not fit in the fridge, but room temperature water is good for the kettle, cooking and general drinking anyway.You do not want to overfill this, capacity clearly is 1L. If you overfill, you risk leakage through the lid. The water goes through quite quickly, so for most purposes this is enough.The filter appears to actually be compatible with Brita Maxtra+, which was a pleasant surprise having some old filters left over.

Listed as like 23cm. That would have fit my shelves. This is going back, wasted my time.

Waited a few months after purchase to confirm my view on this water filter (which I bought after a magazine health review gave it a good rating!). I should have returned it but had bought extra replaceable filters and didn't like the idea of possible waste. However, after the plastic monitoring unit in the lid broke within a week and the lid opening plastic clip keeping falling out of the lid into the water my frustration with this poorly designed cheap lid mechanism needs to be aired. It also too big for the door of my fridge and has meant me moving a shelf up to the top position making the fridge less user friendly for storing other items in it. Also my wife finds the weight of the filter (being glass) filled up is too heavy to make using it practical. When the last filter runs out next month this filter will be returned as not fit for purpose with less than 4 months use. Be wary of taking a magazines' good review as an indicator of an item fit for purpose is my experience.

All good, nice it's glass. Only 2 negative things are 1 advertised as filtering micro plastics, however on booklet that came with it, has no mention of filtering microplastics amongst the list of what is does filter. 2 the gadget on top, what is this meant to do? It's not connected to anything, it's just a dial advertised as how to know when you need to change filter, I can't see how this dial would know, unless it's meant to move everytime you open it to fill. It has never moved so unless I'm completely missing the point, it just seems to be pointless and a bit of a gimmick. Overall though I think price is good and nice to have glass with a glass handle which seems nice and strong. Doesn't fit on fridge door, does sit on bottom shelf, after adjusting shelf. I would buy again though it would be good to have an indicator to remind me when filter needs changing.
