It worked.
I was amazed it really worked. Used dark chocolate and it turned out I was really surprised.

Do not put in dishwasher
It works great, but note: it warns not to put extremely hot chocolate in it, because that can melt the tiny lines.I found out that a dishwasher can melt the tiny lines also. I had planned to just leave it in there for 10 minutes and take it out, but I got distracted, alas. Now most of the lines are gone. This is entirely my own fault, but I wanted to warn others.

The Hype Is Real
The media could not be loaded. I'm ashamed to say that yes, I was effectively influenced by Instagram. I saw these holographic chocolate molds and immediately succumbed to their beauty. Did I need them? Not at all. But did I NEED them? Yes, 100% yes.Honestly, the hype is real. There's no coating, it's not a one-time use item. There are thousands (millions?) of tiny micro-cuts into the surface of the mold that manage to catch the light and create a rainbow of color embedded in the chocolate. I still don't feel I can properly explain just how cool that is.

Hologram works on light colors too
The media could not be loaded. This worked great. I just wish there was a mold with squares instead. My sole purpose for buying this was to make a question mark block from Mario kart for my kid's birthday cake. I only filled the shallow rectangular parts with a couple millimeters deep of chocolate. Because I needed to construct a cube, and these are rectangles, I had to attempt to cut them into squares after popping them out (and "glued" the sides together with more melted chocolate). I used yellow melting wafers & the holographic look was noticeable in the right lighting. Dark colors work a lot better though.

Holographic effect disappeared in fridge overnight
I made a couple batches of Dubai chocolate bars in these the day they came in th mail and the holographic effect came out excellent!Left them in the fridge overnight and when I checked on them the next day all of the holographic effect was gone.Don't know if it's because I left them in the fridge or if it had to do with the kind of chocolate I was using or something but I was really disappointed. The directions are helpful but I wish they were more specific with some things, maybe giving an example of the best kind of chocolate to use (other than the dark chocolate showing the colors better) to help with ensuring success. Or it wouldn't have mattered and the holographic effect is temporary, idk.Still a super cool product

My new favorite mould
The media could not be loaded. You absolutely must temper your chocolate perfectly in order to get this to work as it's designed to. But behold the effect when it's done well!

I'll Save You The Hassle and Expense...
These molds looked so interesting but were a waste of time and expensive chocolate. The instructions are bad...they say stuff like don't touch the mold and avoid moisture, light, dust, sunlight, pressure, heat, enclosed environments, chocolate that is too hot or too cold or chilled for too long. It also says, "to clean mold after use, use lukewarm water and mild chocolate." I followed all instructions (except cleaning with chocolate lol) and you could vaguely see the pattern in the bars but pretty much no color at all. I tried every angle, out in daylight, under a light, away from light etc. Nothing. They did not work at all for me.
