Crane New 1100lb Folding Dismountable Truck-Mounted Crane, with Electric Winch 3500 lb 12V, Painted Steel Pickup Truck Jib Cranes

I have use this crain several times and it was a disappointment. As mentioned on my first review the base plate is warped and the pin to secure the crain. When I did attempt to my vehicle, there was another glaring design fault. To use the folding feature you must bolt the bottom plate in place, and lift the crain up into the upright position. That is when you discover that the bolt-heads used to secure the bottom plate are preventing the crain from standing upright. The crain base plate will not fit over boltheads used to secure the bottom plate. You must inlarge the holes to fit over the heads of the bolts. The crain base plate is made of 3/8 thick steel, and you need enlarge the whole to at lease 1 1/8 wide, that is 4 very large holes. The head of the crain is poor design, and the cable pulley is also a sloppy fit, the pin to keep the cable in the pully is in a poor position. The pully is too large for the bolt used to hold the pully in place. This crain is unusable as shipped in the crate. I changing my rating to 1 star but it really rates negative 5 star.The crain is post-to-be foldable. The base of the crain is warped and the pins can not be inserted to allow the crain to lay over. The warped base is form the manufacture welding process. Your choice is to permanently mount the crain base without having the option of folding the crain over or to return the crain or not to buy. A few people with a shop and welding equipment might re-make the base, but then you take full liability of your work.

Boom arm is approximately 30 inches long with two ten inch extensions.Works well for me moving 8-12 inch diameter by 10 foot long green cedar posts. Though the trailer needs reenforced now.

This is definitely heavy duty but we cannot mount it on the plate so that we can removeit when not in use. I purchased this unit because it was removable so not it is useless to me now. The holes that you put the round bars through do not match up with the mounting plate

After installing the mounting plate into the bed of my truck. I put together the cranes arm and immediately noticed how crooked it is.. Very disappointing with this products defect and I’d have to return the entire product, order another, and then install it to correct this issue..

Ease of assembly

After two attempts at shipping the item arrived with a damaged packaging and some small parts missing. The alignment of the holes in the base plate and those in the mounting plate did not match thus the mounting pins would not fit. required reaming bit toto correct one side and grinding and re-wielding for the other side.

The Jib is excellent quality and welded solid. I am very happy with the crane overall however the winch definitely leaves a little bit to be desired. The winch is rated at 3500 lbs however I tested it before I mounted it and it struggled at 500 lbs with a brand new battery. I would be incredibly shocked if it could lift 1000 lbs without getting stuck. I replaced the winch with a 2500 lb winch I had and the replacement winch is quicker, quieter and can easily do 1000 lbs. I do not think the winch is a deal breaker however it's something to consider. I was worried about the modular base but it has proven very solid.

The winch part of the product arrived defective. Company steered me to Amazon customer service and Amazon customer service would send me a replacement, but I would have to uninstall the hoist repackage it and get it shipped back which as you can imagine would be a colossal waste of time. They would not replace the winch alone.
