I am a professional leatherworker and purchased this for a quick project because my usual supplier was out of stock. I purchased the black and brown leather colors, and both absolutely reek of chemicals. It doesn't smell like real leather - it smells more like what I put into my hot tub. I keep hoping that the smell will wear off at some point, but it hasn't so far. The texture of the leather (especially the black) doesn't feel like real leather either.
