Replacement Printhead for HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 7730 7720 8210 8710 8730 8740 8216 8720 8725, Upgrade Color Print Head Parts for HP Pinter

I ordered this replacement print head for my printer that I know still works. I have a secondary printer identical to the one that the print head failed. I replaced it with that print head and determined that the printer still works, but it needs a new print head. It arrived late due to some storms which was not a big deal. When it did arrive, it came in a paper package and not in a box. Something like this needs to be packaged securely in a box with packing material. It was rattling as if it was broken on the inside. I installed it on both of my printers (the bad one first) and it instantly give me a “print head missing or failed” error message on both printers. I submitted a request for a refund and it is supposed to be picked up today. I read the reviews from the seller and I decided to just get a refund.

I don't recommend buying these refurbished print heasds. They don't work. This one did not work in my 8740 model. Black Ink cartridge wouldn't "click" in correctly. I ended up with and ink explosion which got into part of the printer, all over my wood floor, and all over me. All the other ink cartridges seemed to "click" into place properly except the black ink. So now I still don't have a working printer AND all my black ink cartridge is ruined. Don't waste your time with these print heads, just go buy a new printer. It's easier. I thought I would take a chance on getting these print heads and they just don't seem to work out. Printer designed so these won't work. Therefore, I don't recommend this purchase.

It was a piece of old used junk and leaked 2 whole XL color ink cartridges. It was supposed to be new.
