Top quality and value for money
The media could not be loaded. I originally purchased a less well known adapter for my Mazda CX-30 based on the high Amazon ratings. It generally worked ok, but had some connection issues and was very cheap looking with a flimsy cable. I decided it was enough to return the item for a refund and set about ordering the CarlinKit 3.0 CPC200-U2W Plus wireless CarPlay adapter, which was on offer for an extra £5 and I’m so glad I did! It has excellent fit & finish in the carbon case with the telltale light which glows red or green depending on connection state. Initial setup and pairing is very simple and the adapter just feels all round high quality in terms of look, feel and when connected. I also really like the Autokit UI when the adapter fires up. It makes for a reliable established connection every time and has some configurable settings available as well. All of this makes up for the slightly slower connection speed, which varies for me between 20 and 26 seconds from ignition on. It really is a high quality piece of kit with excellent online support (FAQs) and customer service. The only slightly strange thing, when initially pairing the adapter with my phone, it showed up as VOLKSWAGEN E0B9. I wasn’t too concerned because it was cellophane wrapped in the manufacturer original packaging and I’d read on their FAQs about them using VW CarConnect as part of the QC. CarlinKit Customer support later confirmed this is normal.

Works on VW Touareg 2020 RLine Tech
This was pretty easy to install and worked straight away. All functions as wired option work. Quite pleased as it was much cheaper than an earlier model that didn’t work. I was also able to update the software immediately using instructions from the manual. Had it for a week now. Connects automatically as soon as I start the car. Really pleased with this little gadget. Hope it lasts

Would stop working after a couple of weeks
This worked perfectly for a couple of weeks (I understand the limitations of wireless AirPlay compared to those used to using it wired - even OEM versions of wireless CarPlay have the delay on controls), but then it would stop connecting to my iPhone for a day or two at a time - no matter how much unplugging the adapter, restarting my iPhone, restarting the infotainment or resetting the adapter would fix.I got a replacement device through Amazon returns, and again, worked perfectly for a couple of weeks but then the connection issues returned in just the same manner.I checked for updates and they were both up to date.

Great bit of kit
Not perfect but works well 95% of the time. Never experienced any lag when using Maps, Deezer etc. Issues I’ve had are the session becoming unresponsive and needing to unplug and plug the box back into the USB port - was never an issue when connecting by cable so isn’t the phone. For the price and the fact it saves you plugging your phone in each time you get in the car I’d class it as money well spent

Works fine on MG ZS Hybrid +
After trying 3 different devices this was the only one that worked with my MG ZS Hybrid +.It was easy to set up and takes about 20 seconds to boot when you start the car.

Ultra simple set up, works perfectly
I don't often leave reviews, but I'm so pleased with this adapter that I thought it was worth recommending. I was a little sceptical about this device, but am really pleased with it. I plugged it in for the first time and it was ready to pair instantly - I was up and running in under a minute, and with all of the functionality I had when plugging the phone into the car. Although there is a tiny lag when selecting a track, this has no real impact. Connects immediately when I get into the car, so no messing about repairing. No impact on sound quality either. If you're looking to get away from having to plug your phone in every time you get in the car, you could do worse than use this device.

Good idea but poor execution of its components
The device worked with iPhone 13 and Kia Sportage 2023, however it had many faults even on its latest firmware so went back.1. Bluetooth connection would drop out of the blue.2. Connection was laggy, sometimes it would freeze completely and the unit had to be unplugged and plugged back in.3. It was obviously slower in terms of initialisation than CarPlay via cable.4. For some reason the device would not power off after locking a car immediately, therefore if you needed to pop back in the car whilst it was still on it would not connect to a phone unless it was unplugged. Not worth the hassle. As far as I’m concerned the 4.0 version is even worse, just stick with the cable connection.

Mainly good except for some lag
I have a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5. It connects first time most of the time. However, after using google maps or a similar nav system for about 20 mins, the system starts to lag by up to 10 seconds which is frustrating when you’re trying to look for turnings and junctions. I tried their online suggestions for updating software and disables internal GPS with no fix. I reached out to their support but heard no reply. I’ll be returning the unit and going back to wired CarPlay.
