I haven’t using this product for three years after three different surgeries and it is held up great on my round toiletHowever, on the inland gated oval toilet, the grips that sit on the toilet seat keeps slipping outward, making the handles fall down, which makes it a full hazard for my son with MSIf you push straight up and down for bodyweight, it will work if you push out where they slip off! We have tightened and overtighten them and still continues to happen on the elongated toilet.Not to mention if a person is not, then it’s not comfortable or wide enough to support bigger people. I may have to buy a different type for that particular toilet.As I mentioned for the round toilet, it’s been perfect for 3+ years!

I am very pleased with these toilet seat side rails. My stroke six years back left me with a certain amount of difficulty getting up from a sitting position. I just moved, and the new unit I'm renting has a much lower toilet. The rental manager doesn't allow modifications (installing grab handles etc). So I tried these rails and they are the perfect solution. They attach at the toilet seat hinge exactly as described. The side rails are at the perfect height for getting up safely, and are easy to lift up for cleaning purposes.

The assist rails work as intended. Construction is sturdy. We purchased two of them. Buyers should be aware that the silicone covers for the metal pieces that sit on the toilet rim under the seat are flimsy and easily rip. The covers slide off the metal pieces. This caused the metal to scratch the underside of the toilet seat. When I called customer service to replace the silicone covers, they are NOT part of the lifetime guarantee. The cost for 4 replacement covers with shipping is $25. So for 2, it is 25% of the price that I paid for one assist bar unit. We have owned the assist bar units for less than a year and they started tearing 5-6 months in.

Compact and no tools needed. Many of the handlebars looked to tall for me and too wide. These are perfect and can be moved a little further out if needed. One bar did have some type of rust on it or had been rubbed against something but that is all. All the pieces looked new and unused.Sturdy and secure.Great support if you have trouble with knees or hips.

easy to install and great for elderly to manage their own mobility. A little narrow for some body types.
