Teton-Black (180 MESH) Foundry Green Sand Olivine Extra Fine Facing Sand for Metal Casting (24LB)

I needed a good bit of sand and this was much cheaper than petrobond. But cheaper means more work for you.I'll start with the only negative I have. It's a lot of extra effort compared to petrobond. This is water based, so you have to condition it. It'll deliver needing that done, but I did expect that. After each cast, nearly all of the used sand will need reconditioned.Now for the good bits. Quality of the cast is really good. Small details will be captured. What's awesome is if you're careful pulling the casted item out, no sand sticks to it. You can get multiple pours. Each will be slightly less quality of course, but cool that you can do that.Even though you have to recondition after, you can do so I indefinitely.I do recommend if you want to save a few bucks over the alternatives.
