Both bottles were expertly packed and arrived in perfect shape. The Hon Dashi itself is DELICIOUS! UMAMI FOR DAYS! I used it in creating my one KEWPIE Mayo but it has a million uses. Both bottles are shelf stable for over 1 year based on the printed expiration date... Love this stuff . A+

I often make my own dashi from scratch, but I do not have a ton of storage space in my refrigerator or freezer, while I would like to make big batches and freeze it or keep it in the fridge, it is not feasible to do so. Since I like to enjoy a big bowl of miso soup almost daily for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up, I decided to look for an instant dashi powder that would do the trick. I went with the Hondashi because the price is very reasonable and the package takes up hardly any space in the fridge. It is not quite as tasty as a homemade dashi and it is quite salty, but it is very easy to use and a little bit goes a long ways. The flavor is also strong and does what it needs to enhance the body of the miso soup. I have been using almost daily and will definitely order again!

Good way to add some seafood umami to soup and stews. The two small individual packages make it very convenient.

Granulated bullion to make fish broth, Tuna product and glad it doesn't have shellfish in it.

My diet demands , I have quality seasonings with each meal and this product is great with , rice ,vegetables, salads and meat or any combination you may choose. I recommend this product.
