Bit more detailed than I thought
So whilst this is a good book it is far more detailed in the sex education bit than I realised. As it was going to be a gift to my Grandson I will not be giving it as I think it would be better given to him by his parents...I think he would be very embarrassed if it came from his Nana .It is a good book..has detailed drawings (if you get my meaning in relation to above comments )and useful, relative information and I have given 5 stars , I think it would be a great book to have in an age appropriate school library... just not a gift from Grandparents.

kudos to the author
I read this from cover to cover before giving it to my son - it's perfect. if you're worried about having 'the talk', or even if your kid is too embarrassed to ask questions about growing up, this will help. I had something similar growing up, and it's great to see a modern rendition equipped with enough helpful advice to ensure your young adults know enough to make informed decisions.

Just what we were looking for
My autistic 12 year old had questions he didn't want to ask us, so I bought this book. It's thinner than I expected but he immediately started reading and told me he appreciated it.

Informative and engaging
Each double page contains a topic and is broken down in different sections, making it easy to read and ideal for those who struggle to focus and absorb information. I bought this for my 12 y/o son who has ADHD and it was perfect for him.It also contains information on things like online safety, peer pressure, drugs, contraception and mental health which is more relevant to today's generation of nearly teens.
