If this experiment is true, in order to verify if this oil is pure or not, you should not place the entire bottle in the fridge. Instead pour a inch of oil in a clear glass jar or dish, leave it in the fridge over night /12+ hours and then check for solidification.Just as many others have done, THIS olive oil DID solidify.In my experience, not the same happened with seed oil.Also, if you use Amazon "Rufus" to give you answers to your questions, one wrong answer you will get is that this oil does "not" come in a dark bottle. I have ordered this Pompeian Olive Oil several times and it ALWAYS came in a DARK bottle.If you are set on getting oil in a "glass" bottle, think about how this oil is being stored and transported from the farm to the seller ... Do you think that it makes all the distances/trips in huge glass containers ?I personally think that this oil spends the least amount of time in the bottle until is sold. Once you get it home, you can transfer it in glass bottles and store it a dark cool place for a long term storage.I am very pleased with this oil, I use it a lot for frying, the other Pompeian Oil specifically for frying is more expensive.So far, I never had any issues with taste, smell or going bad even loooong after the "expiration date", maybe because I keep it in a dark and cool place.You cannot beat the price, quality and quantity of this oil.

Wife likes cooking with this olive oil. So far she has no complains of this olive oil.I drink a teaspoon-full of this olive oil every night. I like the taste, smell and freshness.The color is right as when swallowed gives pleasant tickle.We cook with this oil on medium to high stove's heat setting, so smoke point is moot.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is the type I always buy now. My husband has LPR and with this being first cold pressed it is much easier on his system.

Tasty olive oil, at a very good price in a time where EVOO is at gold standards. The flavor is great too and I use it for everything including baking, since I do not eat any dairy products this is suitable for vegan and vegetarians of course. The oil came well packaged but unfortunately it seems a trend that all olive oils are packaged in plastic bottle. I do not think plastic is sustainable and with oils there is a level of plastic leakeage in the oil. My suggestion is to transfer this in a dark glass bottle once you get it. Maybe save the older oil bottles. This is the reason it got 4 stars. I think the container of the oil is very important for the stability and quality of the product.

The quality of the product is great. Healthy and tasty! I mix it with red apple cider vinegar and herbs to sprinkle on salads.My problem is that you can't email Amazon about other issues such as, the instability of prices in my cart. For people who find a deal and add it to their cart, if you're not ready to check out then, the prices fluctuate so much in your cart, you eventually have to go somewhere else where the prices are stable. Poor people are not able to plan their purchases each month with Amazon because you don't know what the prices are gonna be when your ready to place your order.I would also think that if I met the minimum of $35 an order, I would get the same service as people with Prime. I ordered more when there was a $25 minimum.Amazon is losing alot of orders because of this constant inane price changing. Please fix it and thank you!

best deal out there.. cost of oil is high because weather problems in Europe.. harvest are minimal for 2 years..best bang for your buck...good quality , good flavor

Really top drawer stuff. I like the bottles of this brand, easy to transfer content to smaller containers.
