When I first switched from a glass French press to a stainless steel one, I was concerned that the coffee would take on a metallic taste. Happily, there is no difference in flavor, and it is much harder to break a stainless press. I chose this press because it has no plastic parts and should be durable.I have used this press for both coffee and Teaccino, and it works perfectly for both. I particularly find useful the water level markings inside the pot and the pour spout mark on the lid. Unlike a similar press that I have had for a few years, the etching on this one is deep enough and large enough to see without bright light. Because I use a finer grind, I have found that the double mesh strainer causes too much pressure. I removed one and am saving it for use as a replacement. It works perfectly with one mesh strainer (which is what the Bodum presses have, in my experience).These presses are easy to clean without dismantling. Immediately after use, I generally rinse the pot, then fill it halfway with hot water and plunge up and down gently a few times to get any remaining coffee grounds out of the strainer.Every once in a while I dismantle the plunger and give in a thorough rinse. (No soap due to a bad experience with soap flavored coffee.) You can also put these in the dishwasher now and then if they have an abundance of oily coffee residue build up.

Form follows function. This French press functions beautifully. The insulation from the double wall keeps coffee warm, the spout pours exceptionally smooth and the strainers do not ever let grounds through- even after three years of at least two pots per day. I'm probably a 6/10 on the "purist" scale, so I don't mind my coffee made without a glass carafe, but I don't find the stainless construction adds any metallic flavour at all- and there are no plastic parts. The handle is well made and solid, with just enough room to fit my hand behind it to pour with my palm against the body which warms my hand and gives extra control to the pour- not a critical function but one I really like about this design. The press came with extra filters which I have not yet had to use- the original two continue to strain cleanly with no crimping or fraying. The internal press construction is well made and has not loosened at all, even after taking it all apart for regular cleaning. It seems like this was designed from a purely functional direction, but I find the aesthetics perfectly fit my kitchen and my style. My version even came with a long handled spoon for stirring which is far better than my old system of using butter knives. My only gripe (and it's minor) is that the laser etched symbol indicating the section of the lid open for pouring is very small and hard to see- nothing that could not be fixed by a drop of paint or colour. Over all this is the absolute best press I have ever used, better than the expensive/popular brands. I know, it's made in China but if there is a press made in the States that functioned as well, point me to it. For now I'll continue to use this one for probably a long, long time, as there hasn't seemed to be any part of it even close to wearing out.

Looks great, and is quality made. I really enjoy using this. The double wall keeps coffee hot for a good amount of time.

I purchased this product and have used it consistently since. The coffee maker is now jealous...lolThe quality of this product meets and exceeds expectation. You can clean the whole unit seamlessly. I don't go by looks, usually. But this Press is great in the stainless steel. Now what about the inside? This keeps coffee warm for a long time. I boil the water (though hot water would work without boiling, it's just how I roll).I place my coffee into the Press, then boiling water. Next, I stir the coffee gently. I place the top back on and wait 4 minutes with a timer set. Yes, you can go over the 4 minute mark.Finally, I Press slower then pour 🫗I rinse every time it's used and clean it (take care it, it will take care of you).You'll enjoy this product. Trust me!

Attractive design, air-insulated lid, the double screen filters grounds quite well. No more broken glass carafes.It was an unexpected bonus that the double-walled container was insulated with a vacuum, but that failed within two months. The outside of the carafe now grows quite hot during a 5-minute brewing time. When new, the pot kept coffee hot for over an hour. With no vacuum, it performs much like glass pot. That is a disappointment, but I still prefer the steel carafe to the glass ones it replaced.

Love the sleek look and quality of materials. Keeps our press coffee piping hot unlike most traditional glass style press. Small capacity about 4 servings.

This french press keeps my coffee hot (or at least hot-ish) for 2-3 hours. It’s also easy to clean. I normally clean it every day, but I recently went on a month-long trip and forgot to clean it out before I left. Needless to say, there was a significant colony if mold growing on it by the time I returned, but I was so impressed when the mold literally peeled off the filter (I know, ew) and it only took slightly longer than normal to clean before it was good as new! No aftertaste or problems afterward.The only qualm I’ve had is that if you fill the water all the way up to the “max fill” line, it will inevitably squirt out of the spout when you press the filters down, no matter how carefully you do it. I just fill to maybe a centimeter below the line, and it’s no longer an issue. Not bothersome enough to take a star off, just something a potential buyer should know.

This is a sturdy and functional press for household use and stands up well to camping/outdoor usage also. It can rattle around in a tote with other gear without damage unlike those made of plastic or glass. After using a while the stainless filter screen will fray and need replacement but spares are easy to obtain at reasonable cost. Would definitely recommend and buy again.
