iSonic P4875-NH+MVR5 Motorized Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner, 110V (5-Records)

In terms of record cleaning methods and machines, there is no doubt that ultrasonic cleaning is considered the best technology available for getting vinyl records as clean as possible. In terms of the machines on the market, on one end there are the ones costing thousands of dollars, made/marketed by companies dedicated to serving the audiophile community; on the other are the low-cost ultrasonic baths that are designed for general cleaning purposes, to which a universal fitting is attached to hold the records for cleaning. In-between are the machines from iSonic, with performance that is every bit as good as those machines costing thousands of dollars, in a machine that has features and ergonomics you can’t get from a cheaper general-purpose machine.That the iSonic machines resemble a popular “vinyl restoration” machine that costs 3 times as much is no coincidence; iSonic uses the same exact base machine as that “audiophile” model uses. However, here the iSonic improves on that model by allowing you to clean up to 10 records at once (the more expensive brands don’t let you clean more than two 12” records, with most only letting you clean one at a time) which is a huge advantage for anyone that has a lot of dirty records and enjoys hitting the pre-owned record shops/market. The iSonic machine itself is clad in a housing that allows for a very well-designed motor and spindle assembly that holds the records extremely securely and rotates them at a very consistent speed during the cleaning process. Loading and un-loading the records is very easy and quick, and the package comes with high-quality spacers that seal and protect the record label from the water bath. Spacers are also included should you only need to clean a record or two.The quality of the iSonic machine is extremely good. Many lower cost machines use wall-wart power supplies that many doubt could provide the power needed for true ultrasonic cleaning; the iSonic has a robust internal power supply that not only provides enough power to the transducers for true ultrasonic cleaning, but also for degass and water bath heating functions. The unit comes packaged with everything you need to get started, including a very good quality surfactant solution (used to help break surface tension for more effective cleaning), a box of lint-free drying wipes and a drainage hose. I got the machine set-up and running in about 15 minutes. I was able to clean 25 records in the first hour I had my machine running, including an original pressing of The Cure’s “Standing on a Beach” from 1986. That record came out cleaner than it did from the factory…playing it, it was absolutely quiet, without any of the pops and clicks that a record this old should’ve had.In terms of cleaning performance, you really couldn’t ask for more, especially for the price. The iSonic’s transducers pulse at an industry standard 35KHz, which is great for getting down into the grooves of the record and getting the gunk and dirt out of them. Where ultrasonic-only machines like the iSonic will struggle is on records that are extremely dirty and/or have mold. I’m keeping my SpinClean to use as a mechanical pre-treatment step, before using the iSonic to finish the cleaning process. For this reason, I can only give 4-Stars for the Sound Quality rating…there will be some records that using the iSonic just by itself won’t truly get the job done. But 90% of the time, the iSonic will be all you need and the results will be incredible.So, all-in, with the iSonic you are getting all the performance of record cleaning machines costing thousands of dollars, in a unit that allows you to clean more records per session. You also get everything you need to start cleaning your records, in one box…instead of piecing things together with the cheaper, potentially less powerful, units. The iSonic is a great buy, but it performs even better!

We use this in the ultrasonic cleaner to clean vinyl record albums, it works great.

I did extensive research into ultrasonic record cleaners after deciding to upgrade from my vacuum record cleaning machine. Review after review listed the Isonic at the top of the heap. Yes it is more expensive than many of the other units, but even looking at the photos made it apparent that it is a much more robust unit.When I unpacked it, it was immediately apparent that it was an extremely well designed and built unit, especially the addons that turn the commercial grade cleaner into a record cleaner. Setup was easy and I had cleaned several LPs, 45s and 78s in just a few hours.I also ordered the extension rod that lets me clean 10 records at a time and since I have an extensive 45 collection, I also ordered the 45 unit. I'm really glad I got the 45 unit because it does such a good job.The results of cleaning has been even better than I expected. The overall impression is that the records are getting a lot cleaner compared to my vacuum RCM. It's like a veil has been lifted from the music, with the highs more detailed and the bass better defined. I had read about similar results, but I was skeptical. I'm now a believer.If you have an extensive collection and crate dig like me, this is a worthy investment. The workflow is much faster than my vaccuum RCM and the results are beyond my expectations!

Aside from a learning curve, this product is well worth the money spent. Customer service (Jerry) was extremely helpful and fast with response! This unit uses a much more robust transducer to power the ultrasound cleaning than some cheaper machines. I have a friend who has extensive experience with the 'other system', and the audible sonic results I achieve with this Isonic are so noticeable that he has me clean his records now!

I bought this primarily to clean my shellac 78 RPM records although I have also used it for my vinyl LP 33 1/3 RPM records. While the description claims it will clean both, for 78s you have to fill the tank to the absolute top so be careful not to jostle the unit or you might leak water into the cabinet. My other complaint is that the spacers provided to protect the record label can actually cover part of the recording on a 78 if it's a longer song (grooves closer to the center hole). With that said, it does do a fantastic job of removing debris. I run my 78s through three 15 minute passes and they come out WAY better. Big difference in the sound quality after cleaning. So if you've got $800+ bucks to spend and a bunch of dirty records, this is the machine for you.

The media could not be loaded.  Having thousand of lp’s, we grew tired of cleaning records one at a time. We researched record cleaners on audio forums, and decided to purchase this cleaner. We are very happy we did. The machine is very quiet compared to other cleaners. The records we have cleaned came out extremely clean and spot free. And we can definitely hear improvement in the sound quality. We called customer service to inquire about adding the iSonic pump station with this machine. We spent 15 minutes on the phone with Jerry discussing this, and many other tips using the combination. We did order the pump station and awaiting arrival. We couldn’t be more pleased with the product and service. Once the pump station is up and running, we will leave a review.

I use it after 2 or 3 rounds of washes and the pump does a nice job of getting the water clean. Easy to replace filters. After washing about 1500 records, the wiring on the pump started to fail. I reached out to support and since I was still under warranty, they sent me a replacement part.

Great for cleaning eye glasses

La calificación de 5 estrellas es para el producto, el único problema que tuve fue con Amazon porque retrasaron mi pedido 3 días porque "No daban con mi domicilio" a pesar de que soy miembro Prime desde el 2016 y jamás había pasado un problema como ese a lo cual sí me dejaron muy insatisfecho con eso.Respecto al producto en lo personal lo usé para limpiar el Flux de una PCB donde estuve soldando porque vi en youtube alguien que usaba esas toallitas y honestamente sí me ayudaron, no fue la solución milagrosa pero fueron bastante útiles.Tienen una textura como las Wipes que te vienen a la hora de querer instalar una mica para la pantalla de tu celular, no dejan fibras y si se rompen no destruye la toalla a pesar de estar húmeda.

Muy buen producto y no deja residuos al limpiar, observen bien y son prácticas.

Love this stuff! Top quality, and completely lint free. Does an excellent job on all my eye ware! Can also be used on camera lenses, (which seem to be lint and dust magnets) .with superior results

We would normally get these at our eye doctors office.. but everything is closed... these are amazing for cleaning your glasses.. would never use anything else.. and a great price for a 4 pack!!
