Brand new, a neat finish

I've no idea how the other reviewer got this onto his Insignia, as it's clearly not suitable. The aperture is smaller and different to the original the inside configuration of the knob is also very different. Nonetheless, since another reviewer said he put one successfully on his car, I did try and fit mine but even when fully pushed on, I could only move the stick one place forwards or into the manual gear position, and I didn't have to depress the gear release button to move it there. Also, the button is terrible quality, it squeaks when you depress it and the first time I did it 'out of the box' it didn't come back out again! The leather on the top was a bit tatty around the gills as well (see photo). This is a cheap and nasty item that does not fit an Insignia properly - I would recommend you spend a bit more and get a better quality item, whatever your vehicle. I certainly wish I had.
