Daughter absolutely loves his books!

I bought these the moment I learned that Bear Grylls wrote some children's books. I loved watching Grylls as a teen and his shows instilled a love of wilderness survival in me. Before getting home from the post office my 11 year old son started to read the first book. Within the first 10 minutes, he was laughing and giggling and then blew through the rest of the series. I got to hear about all the adventures and gross stuff the characters ate, as well as the real life survival skills my son learned about. He kept saying how much his cousins and friends needed these books. When he was later around said cousins and friends, he spent the entire time engaging them with recollections of the stories. Bear even prompted my son to make up his own adventure stories and survival situations.Thank you Bear Grylls for showing my child that "real life" is an adventure worth living.

Purchased for my 10 year old Grandson. It’s what he requested for his birthday.

My boys are 8 and 10 and have been reading these books for about 2 years now! They love them so much and read them over and over again! The adventures and lessons learned are so fun!

These books are best collected and read as a set. Minor characters introduced in one book may appear as a main character in another book. This book not only teaches outdoor skills in an entertaining way, but also personal and character-building skills such as cooperation, empathy, persistence, patience, etc. Each book starts off a little slow-paced. It may take 3 or more chapters to feel more drawn into the story.

I cannot believe Amazon is selling this bundle at this price! One book alone is about $10. So to get the entire set for about $25 - it was a no-brainer to buy the set!We homeschool and I am constantly looking for good series to add to our library for my kids. I bought this for my boys. My oldest boy is currently six and is loving the books.They are clean, there is nothing inappropriate, and no agenda sprinkled throughout - exactly what a young child's book should be IMO. I hope this series adds to my son's love of nature and the outdoors.I will happily purchase other books if the author decides to keep publishing!
