Air Spencer (000800 CS-X3 Squash Scent Air Freshener Refill

Smelled great and after a full month I can still get hints of it when the window is open and air moves. Worth the money and I prefer this over squash so far

I used to always use this air freshener, but started trying out other air fresheners in order to cut costs. Such as the tree air fresheners, the gel air fresheners, yankee candle air fresheners, and I even tried essential oils. I would say it would be a tie between this squash scented air freshener and the yankee candle car air fresheners. They would both be rated around an 8.8/10, while the others are probably a 5.5-6.0.This air freshener has been around for years, and it smells great. When you first open it, the smell is very strong. So far the best description I found for it is a bubble gum like smell (who knows what squash smells like). But after an hour or so, it's more soothing and isn't too strong. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE enjoys this scent. All of my friends (in their 20's) of all ethnicities (asian, black, white, mexican, indian) all ask what scent that is as soon as they enter my car. It isn't limited to this age group either, my neice and nephew (3-5 years old), my uncle/aunt/brother/sisters (30-50 years old), and even different occupations (doctor, dentist, mechanic, student, waiter, business owner) all enjoy this scent. The point of all this is? Just get this air freshener and you'll be good. Usually with other air fresheners at target or walmart (like the tree's), I hear people say "oh only white or indian people like those". I generally hear people mention this air spencer as the asian or JDM or car guy air freshener. Either way, it smells great. get it as a gift for someone, get it for yourself. You won't regret it.OH by the way, don't bother getting treefrog squash scented or another other black squash scented, this is the best one and the strongest one and you can't really find any bulk or wholesale deals for this. Just pick up the refills for about $6-$7 that's the best price you're going to get, and you won't get a knock off that lasts only a week. These babies last for a solid month.ANOTHER TIP, these refills come with adhesive stickers to attach the air fresheners to your car. PRO TIP, the adhesive stickies SUCK. I would say get the 3M adhesive from target/walmart but that's way too expensive at a dollar or so for one. Go to the 99cent store, they have very strong PAINT safe adhesive stickies similar to 3M. It's like $1 for 15 adhesives and I've personally used them to hand up picture frames and other things at the office.UPDATE*** 3/4/16So I just bought these, and they said they're from hong kong. Got them for about $7.30 or so, The box and the actual refill itself does say "made in japan", and it does have that unique scent. However, the smell should be stronger when you first open it. Don't get me wrong, the scent is still strong when you first open it, but only for an hour or two, then it gets a lot weaker. I've noticed after a few days it's already starting to grow weak. The original one use to be almost SICKENING strong for the first 2 or 3 days, but it would have a good amount of strength for the remaining month. I'm not sure if this is an original or a knock off, but I have a feeling it won't last as long. Another thing to note is that some people complain these might be knock offs and the scent goes away really quickly. I'd like to say that even the originals only lasted for about a week. I mean to say that you only notice the smell for about a week, because you get used to it. I only notice the scent as soon as I get into the car, and afterwards I'm used to the scent and don't really notice it anymore. I'm thinking this is what's happening to others, they just don't notice that they're used to it.

Favorite car freshener

First time user. Heard the scent was strange & wonderful so I had to try it. Upon opening the package I was immediately hit in the face with the scent which then proceeded to invade literally every corner of the room. I closed the adjustable vents but still had to take it out to my car because the scent was just too strong at first, even after putting it back in the box, in a drawer in my desk.I will report back after letting this air out a bit in my car, but, initial (strong) scent notes I get are primarily citrus & bubble gum, in that order. I'm not entirely certain how I feel about it yet, but like I said, I'll report back..Also, for anyone having issues with authenticity; the seller I purchased from was CNS Motors, Inc located in South El Monte, CA. It was not Prime eligible but shipping was free & quick. Ordered 10/21, delivered 10/26, (would have been delivered 10/24 but I missed it). Like another reviewer, I too, do not plan to purchase the separate fancy case for this, as it will just be sitting on the floor under my seat. Yes the case looks cool, but I'm not ok with the adhesive mounting strips.I mostly look forward to telling passengers what it is when they ask..**UPDATE 10/28/15: I have decided that unfortunately I do not care for the scent, but I have kept my rating at 4 stars because the performance of this cartridge is truly impressive. I have frequent migraines & I can tell this scent would be an issue for me. For those that enjoy a strong, deep, permeating scent, then this is for you. The cartridge was only in my car a couple days, 1 of them, shut in the glovebox, & even now that I have a new air freshener, I still initially smell Squash when I get in my car. I had to seal it in a ziplock at home because it was making its way into every corner of my house, just after sitting on the table overnight. Hopefully I'll find someone that does enjoy this scent, that I can give this to because I really don't want to throw it away.Overall, I still highly recommend for the performance. I just don't care for the scent, which I now feel is primarily bubble gum (plain BubbleYum to be specific), followed by a sour (not a bad sour) mostly lemon-y citrus. It is definitely unique.

Great Product.

This WAS my favorite car odor scent... But I remember that before was a very long lasting product... I'm talking that last more than a month... Maybe 2 or 3 month.But now, any last like week and a half... Little frustrated, I'll give another chance, maybe this one came defective, I don't know...
